Nominally however, northwestern Cyrodiil is considered Daggerfall Territory, northeastern Cyrodiil is considered Ebonheart Territory, and southwestern Cyrodiil is considered Aldmeri Territory. Politically, the region is in flux, with armies of the three Alliances continually fighting over strategic positions. The Jerall Mountains form the border with Skyrim to the north. The Nibenay Valley to the south is too small to have its own unique geological features it is a mix of the Great Forest to the north and west of the Heartlands, and the Nibenay Basin's plains to the east of the Heartlands. The central Heartlands is the area around the Imperial City the island is almost wholly used for the city while the land to the east is used for farming. Despite the name, the zone encompasses only the central part of the actual province.Ĭyrodiil's geography is mostly low-lands and forests, with mountains around its borders. Cyrodiil is the central province of Tamriel and home of the Imperials, who stand alone in the Alliance War.
